A few years ago I was feeling burned out; I was finishing up the most challenging art installation (tiled installation in Las Cruses NM) of my career, experiencing wearisome sadness from personal loss, I craved rest and the company of family, tiled art felt heavy, cumbersome, trivial even, but at the same time I knew that I couldn’t survive long (not emotionally or financially) without creating. I made myself a few pairs of earrings out of “junk” I had laying around the studio…I *Freaking* loved them AND I loved the process. Other people also loved them. I made more. Turn’s out that earring makings are small and easy to transport..even on an airplane…TSA doesn’t care about tiny art, findings and pliers.

UNEXPECTED BONUS…..my heart seems to be ready for tiled art again as well… :0)
