Small Drop, Alpine Dreaming collectiom
Alpine Dreamer collection, Small drop.
The primary shapes are laser cut from clear acrylic and/or plywood. Because earrings tend to be small whenever it’s available I can use material scrap, cast-offs or off-cuts. Due to the nature of Found materials there are often imperfections and anomalies in the materials, in my opinion this is one of the things that makes them special. It’s easy to see the kind of anomalies I’m talking about in the product pictures. When up cycling isn’t an option, materials are sourced locally when ever possible.
The wood is colored by hand using pigment and alcohol based color wash. Due to the nature of hand coloring and natural wood grains each piece is always unique.
Some designs and/or color ways finished with uv epoxy. Bubbles may occur and are another feature that makes every piece unique.
Acrylic is hand sanded on one or both faces to achieve a natural "frosted" look.
All metal used is new and nickel free.
